Drew Barrymore was here

When I worked at Bean Town in Sierra Madre (when I first moved here), this place was owned by the same people. And they often let movies film in their coffee shops. Bean Town was in Kicking and Screaming and Dude Where's My Car? This place was in Never Been Kissed. And now,I hate to say, it's not as cool as it was before.

Gus's BBQ-SOuth Pasadena

For the husband's birthday we went here. And the food was good but all the company and conversation distracted me from really eating and I didn't even finish my food. Mostly I remember the cornbread. And the jalapeno jelly that had no spice or jalapeno flavor. But what do I know, I'm a vegetarian. My husband enjoyed his ribs. Have you been there?

Classic Shot

I found this while cleaning out picture files. That's my kid. And she's sleeping. And? It's not the only one.

Pecan Pie

I made this for my husband's birthday. It's not your traditional pecan pie because it has evaporated milk and light corn syrup.

On a Sunday Afternoon

Today was one of the few days where I didn't work or have class and neither did my husband. And being lazy in the backyard is great.

JB burgers

My husband wanted to go to this place in Monrovia because he said it was on t.v. He named the host of the show it was on, Huell Howser, but I have no idea what that show is. Everyone else's food looked better than my boring grilled cheese (which was good, but not fantastic).
